Mike, Ruth and Ed have been playing music together in various groups for over 20 years. Most of the time they were singing and playing in small groups for church liturgies. They also have performed in shows benefits and other related music venues over the years. These three artists formed Merge Left several years ago and have been playing at coffee houses, restaurants/bars, walk run events, and corporate events during this time. They have recorded two CDs, At the First Turn and their newest release Coming Together. Both have folk and Irish covers and a number of original songs.

The influences that have shaped the music of Merge Left comes from the great folk artists of the past, the music of Ireland, bluegrass and American traditional music from the past two centuries.

Ruth Price plays guitar, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, dulcimer, and writes some of their lyrics.

Mike Kiska plays guitar, mandolin, Russian balalaika, Irish button accordion, sound stick, recorder, and tin whistle.
